Dental insurance is provided through a contract between yourself or your employer and a dental insurance company. Covered services are selected based on the price you or your employer agrees to pay for the contract. As a result, not all treatment is covered. While our goal is to provide the highest quality of care for every patient, insurance companies often cover only the very basic services.
Predetermination allows you to understand what your dental insurance may cover. Our office can help you obtain predetermination of insurance coverage for the recommended treatment; however actual benefits paid are usually determined after the fact and may also depend upon whether patients have reached their deductibles.
We believe that patients can greatly benefit from the services we recommend. We do not recommend services that are not beneficial to your oral and overall health. Nevertheless, we also recognize that financial considerations will play an important role in your decision making process. Therefore, we will work with you to help you receive the maximum reimbursement; however it is important to understand that not all necessary procedures are covered by insurance.
Our office remains dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for every patient and we will work closely with you to achieve your goal. Therefore, we offer several financial options so that you can choose the one that suits you best.
Once Dr. Peterson has examined your mouth and determined the type of care that will be best for you, we will share with you what the process and fee schedule will entail. Then, you can choose the financial arrangement that is most comfortable for you.
